Help our Plant Sale Thrive! Revisit, Renovate, Revive and Regenerate Your Garden and get an Income Tax Receipt

This year's annual giant Plant Sale at St. George’s, Anglican Parish of the Blue Mountains, is set for Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 8 am until noon, or when the plants are sold out.  If you would like to participate by donating plants to the St. George’s Plant Sale, the first step is to walk around your garden now the snow has gone. Take a handful of empty pots with you and look for perennials that have grown too big and need dividing, or find that plant you always hated and put a pot beside each plant. Free pots are available from the grey bin at the church back door.  Then dig and pot them up sometime in April or early to mid-May and bring them to the church on one of our plant intake days on May 29 or 30 (see times above), so we can track your donation.  If you donate at least 15 plants on one of our plant intake days, you’ll get a donation tax receipt for the total amount they sell for!

For general information about how and when to dig and pot up your perennials, see our YouTube video which was created in 2021.  Here are printable instructions on how to choose, divide, pot and label your perennials for this year's St George's Plant Sale: 2024 Plant Sale Donor Manual. To register as a donor, please complete this form and bring a copy when you pick up your donor kit from St George’s Anglican Church at 166 Russell St. E., Clarksburg, or you can complete a handwritten form at the church. Donor kits will be available on Tues, Wed or Thurs mornings from April 8th onwards, or call John on 519 599 5846 or Hazel on 416 558 2929 to make alternate arrangements.  Your donor kit will contain all the plant and donor labels you’ll need, a waterproof pen, and a printed copy of the Plant Sale Donor Manual. Thanks for your support!

If you have any questions about your plants, please call our Master Gardener, John Hethrington at 519 599 5846. If you have any questions about plant intake, or if you’re available to help us prepare for or run the plant sale, please contact Hazel de Burgh at 416 558 2929.  Many hands make light work, and there are some volunteer appreciation perks too!
