The ACW is made up of and and all women in the Anglican Church who desire to participate. They are the "woman-power" behind many events and actvities, and often help to raise funds to meet parish or diocesan needs.
ACW meets eight times a year, March to June and September to December on the first Tuesday of the month at 2pm in the large hall at the Church. All women of the parish are welcome.
The ACW runs the annual Jolly Holly Bake Sale and Lunch, which includes cookie trays, bake table, craft table as well as the very popular lunchroom.
We also cater such events as the reception for funerals, the Bishop's Dinner, breakfast for the Men's Group and lunch for the Rotary, as well as helping out at such events as the Community Pancake Dinner..
Through the summer months, the ACW members are active helping with the fish fry and corn roast.
We also support other minsitires, like Huron Church Camp.
We are grateful to all the women of the Church for their time and support in volunteering at many of the Church’s events.
The ACW is certainly a resence at St. George's but it is much bigger than that. For more infomration on the ACW in the Diocese of Huron, please visit their website: ACW- Diocese of Huron
