Yoga for Sore Bodies is a group yoga class that is a safe, gradual and gentle approach to improving a body condition from the inside out. Classes run for ninety-minutes and include at least 30 minutes of inner core work, balance and strengthening exercises that are especially helpful for osteoarthritis, hip mobility, balance, improved strength for walking and daily activities.
Classes are suitable for beginners and individuals who are active but feel stiff and sore. This is not chair yoga but chairs are used for some of the exercises and to support balance postures. There is also a relaxation component to quiet the mind.
Please note that participants must be able to come down to the floor (mat) and up to standing on their own.
