Each year St. George's invites the community to the lawn for a Community Corn Roast and tours of our beautiful building. The last few years the local Branch 281 of the Royal Canadian Legion has set up their pop up bar serving beverages of the alcoholic variety to our guests and the Grace United Church’s Green Team are on hand to clean and recycle dishes, cans etc. We thank them for their diligence in helping to keep our beautiful green space, green.
Funds gathered as donations during the event are directed to a different place each year and in 2025 the recipient was the Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary club, who received a cheque for $1000.00.
